Get your French document as an MP3 or a CD and get your pronunciation right with SOUNDFRENCH !

Do you need to practise a document for an oral exam, a lecture or a job interview (or any another reason)? Just e-mail your document as an attachment to enquiries@soundfrench.co.uk and I will send you a quote. Once payment is made you will receive an MP3 or a CD containing the audio version of your document for you to practise as many times as you wish.

I also offer proofreading and a translation service of French documents at an extra charge. Do not hesitate to contact me for a free quote with no obligation to proceed with a transaction.

How it works

1. E-mail your document as an attachment to enquiries@soundfrench.co.uk and fill in the quote form in which you will give details about your document and state your deadline.
2. You will be sent a quote for an audio version of your document.
3. Send me an e-mail to confirm that you agree to the quote.
4. An audio recording of your document is made.
5. Once payment is confirmed, you will be able to retreive your audio document from the website Dropsend if your document is recorded as an MP3 or, if your document is recorded as a CD, your CD will be posted to you.

You can also choose at which speed you would like your document to be read. Listen to the following two samples to decide which speed is right for you:

Cost

A full page (= about 250 words) costs £6^‡.

A full page in standard format comprises approximately 25 lines per page, 10 words per line, and uses double-spaced 12-point Courier.

What are the advantages of having a document recorded as MP3s versus CDs?

Requirements regarding recording as MP3s:

In order to download your file quicky, especially if your document's length is over 10 minutes, you need to have broadband internet access.

Advantages of MP3s:

• You will receive your file quicker.
• Your file will be easily retrieved.
• You will be able to place your file onto a MP3 player or an i-player.
• You don't need a CD player!

Advantages of CDs:

• I recommended this way of recording your document if you have a dial-up internet account that uses a modem rather than broadband.
• Can be played in places where you have a conventinet CD player, eg in your car

Please note: if your document is recorded on a CD, you will receive your CD in a protective case in a padded envelope. Shipping charges will be added to the fee of your audio document.
